Description
The F430 Challenge cars are powered by Ferrari’s 4.3-liter, four cam, four valve, engine. This car also has carbon-fiber cam covers. The engine was factory rated at 483 horsepower at 8,500 rpm, with 343 lb-ft of torque. The engine’s power is driven through the car’s electro-hydraulic six speed paddle shift gearbox.
Challenge cars come with a factory cage structure, race suspension, lightweight interior, fire system, center-lock wheels, upgraded brakes, and data capability.
This particular Challenge car also comes with an aero package, with a rear wing and complete front air dam, bumper, and splitter. It also comes with both carbon and iron brake set ups and a spare set of wheels, along with a Cool Shirt set up.
This F430 is equipped with an air jack system with a wand, hose, nitrogen tank, and a high flow pressure regulator. It is also equipped with an on board telemetry system that uses the car’s data link port.
Additionally, the Ferrari comes with the optional diameter front sway bar, and an aftermarket 430 Challenge straight-through exhaust system without cats. Mufflers to reduce exhaust notes for sound-restricted events will also be included.
Many enthusiasts consider the F430 Challenge cars to be some of the most rewarding modern Ferraris to own and drive. How cool it must be to show up at the track with your own factory Ferrari racing car.
We think that this Challenge car is a real Ferrari bargain. How much longer will we see genuine Ferrari factory built racing cars available for under $100,000? That’s less than the price of a number of SUVs currently on the market. We have a 1979 normally aspirated 512 Berlinetta Boxer and a 1972 Dino. Their values have multiplied many times over since we have owned them, and they are street cars not factory built Ferrari racing cars. To run the numbers, Ferrari built approximately 3500 246 Dinos, and just under 2000 512 Boxers. They only built 142 of these Challenge cars.
This looks like it is going to be another one of those great cars that soon we will be regretting not having purchased when we could have for a fraction of its future value. In addition, unlike stocks, this is about the coolest investment vehicle you can have, pardon the pun. We also think that photos in your office or den of you driving it on the track also look way better than a digital stock certificate on your computer screen.
