1966 Ginetta G4

Great Ginetta at a Great Price

The reported history for G4 chassis 0262 is that it was originally raced in the U.K. up through the 1980’s. Then the car came to the U.S. where it has been campaigned in vintage events since the 1990’s.

Prior owners include Phil Manley, Craig Chima, and Fred Fischer. The car was painted Aston Martin green while raced by Fischer. It has since been resprayed to its current blue color. The paintwork is excellent.

The Ginetta has been maintained by a pro shop for the past three years. Its races since 2018 are as follows:

July 12-18, 2018: HMSA Sommet Des Legendes, Le Circuit Mt. Tremblant, Canada.

July 18-22, 2018: WeatherTech International Challenge, Road America

May 30/June 2, 2019: Sonoma Speed Festival, Sonoma Raceway

Sept. 24-27, 2020: Heacock Classic Gold Cup, VIR

Sept. 19-20: VSCDA Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival, Road America

The Ginetta is powered by a Jay Ivey dry-sumped 1500 cc Ford pre-crossflow engine with twin 40 DCOE Weber carburetors and Petronix ignition. The engine has approximately 4 races on it. The engine is is coupled to a Ford “Rocket” 4 speed gearbox.

The G4 has dual master cylinder Girling front disc brakes and drum rear brakes. The wheels are Minilite-stye aluminum alloy 13X6 front and rear with Avon 5.0-220X13 tires.

The car is equipped current Schroth seatbelts set up for a HANS device. It has a Fuel Safe fuel cell, quick disconnect steering wheel, and Aeroquip lines everywhere. The suspension is mounted with heim joints for easy and accurate adjustability.

The Ginetta races in Group VCP with SVRA, and would be a Group 2 car with CSRG, HMSA, and similar vintage racing organizations.

The Ginetta is in excellent condition as can be seen from the photos. We have sold several cars for this owner in the past. All were excellent, and like the Ginetta, maintained by pro shops. Without exception all of the buyers have been extremely pleased with no only the condition of the car when they received it, but also the value they got for what they paid. We expect this car to be just the same.

So if you want a great buy on a great, no excuses, Ginetta, please contact us.
