1965 Jaguar E-Type

Highly prepared vintage racer.

POA

History

This E-Type has been with the same owner since the 1980’s. It has raced mostly at Road America, Watkins Glen, and Lime Rock.

The Jaguar is highly developed and prepared by a shop that also restores and races Ferraris. The E-Type was built to a standard, not a budget, and is among the fastest E-Types in North America.

The owner is now retiring from motorsports. So after nearly 40 years, this E-Type has just become available.

Description

Some of the E-type’s features include, but are not limited to:

Twin-ignition “army tank” head, these are the more robust/durable heads desired for competition use.

Triple Webers with lightened aluminum linkage.

Aeroquip steel lines.

Cold air induction box.

Aluminum racing radiator and expansion tank.

Fully sorted twin distributor ignition system.

4 stage dry sump oil system.

High performance starter.

Double adjustable aluminum Koni racing shocks front and rear.

Delrin suspension bushings.

Solid rear suspension mounts.

Solid mounted rack and pinion .

The car’s engine runs nice and cool, with no overheating issues. The transmission is a T-101 Tex racing transmission, also included is super T-10 Tex racing transmission.

The E-Type has a 3:54 rear end ratio, and comes with a 3:31 rear end. The car is equipped with a bespoke high performance braking system incorporating a Tilton twin master cylinder, floating discs, special ducting, and Jaguar four piston front calipers.

The car will come with a total of 8 Minilite wheels (4 fronts and 4 rears). The Jaguar’s exterior panels have been changed to further reduce weight. The bonnet is fiberglass, the doors are aluminum, as is the decklid. The glass has been replaced with clear polycarbonate.

The interior remains remarkably original. The Momo steering wheel is removable for ease of entry. The interior flow through ventilation, including the vented decklid, keeps the cockpit comfortable. The car is also equipped with a Momo racing seat

We have had the good fortune to race E-Types with Donovan Motorsports for many years. An E-Type’s handling and braking make them formidable, and winners. Their competition-derived 6 cylinder engines also keep them in the game even against the V8 Camaros, Corvettes, Mustangs, GT350’s, and more. The E-Type design is also iconic and timeless, one of the greatest automotive designs of all time.

An added benefit of this E-Type is that it comes with a title. You can enjoy it both on and off the track. It should cause quite a stir at your next Cars & Coffee and other enthusiast events.

You can now pick up this E-Type for a fraction of its build and development costs. Run it on the track, run it on the back roads, or run it downtown. We think there are lots of ways to win with this E-Type.
