1970 Titan Mk6 Formula Ford.
2018 Crossflow Cup Championship Winner
$29,000 for a Championship winner and track record holder
History
2018 Crossflow Cup Championship winner. The Titan has won at every track it has been to since 2018, including Laguna Seca, Sonoma Raceway, Thunderhill, and Portland International. Former Historic Formula Ford track record holder at Sonoma Raceway. Finished 3rd in the Crossflow Cup Championship in 2019, without entering all of the races.
Thereafter the Titan was on display in a classic car showroom for two years before being purchased by its next owner. There the car received a frame-up refresh as described below, including all new bodywork and a paint change from black with a silver stripe to gunmetal grey with a red nose.
Since then the Titan has been campaigned in various Crossflow Cup races on the West Coast. In 2024 it finished 10th in the combined overall Championship standings for both Historic and Club Fords. The Titan has already been competing in the 2025 Crossflow Cup Series too, and is ready to go for the next round.
Decription
The 2021 refresh included many new items. These included new brake master cylinders, new fuel cell, new belts, new gearbox side plates, new wheel bearings, new gauges, new rod ends, new brake pads, and more. The suspension was re-plated as well. The gearbox was gone through and set up by John Anderson Racing.
In 2022 Ivey Engines rebuilt the engine.. The rebuild included a new crankshaft, pistons, billet rocker shaft pedestals, a new lightened and balanced flywheel, etc. Approximately 25 hours have been put on the engine since (about half life to its next rebuild).
The bodywork is all new with no crash damage or repairs. The car was also converted to a lithium battery to “add lightness.”
The Titan is also set up for left foot braking, which is very unusual for a Titan Mk6. So if you are looking for a competitive advantage in a Titan Mk6, this car has it.
The Titan has been super reliable, so there has not been a need to stockpile parts. The good news is that nearly 300 of these Titan Mk.6 cars were built so if you do need parts, they are readily available. These cars are also well known by prep shops, so finding support, or advice, is also easily at hand. Spares include a second set of race wheels plus an additional set of steel wheels, currently mounted with street tires. The car will also come with a nose mold.
The Titan has been professionally set up, including alignment and corner weights, and pro tested. The car is truly ready to go and can be seen racing in this year’s 2025 Crossflow Cup Championship.
The Titan has Championship winning history, track records, proven reliability, and is a potential threat to win every time out. What’s not to like?
