1972 Corvette

Sold

History

The Corvette was originally sold new in Phoenix as a 1972 big block 454-4spd. It was then converted into a road racing car. The car comes with log books back to 1983 with Larry Blanton racing it at Riverside and Firebird Int Raceway. Larry also ran the car in the 1984 Eloy Grand Prix in Arizona. The entire race was televised and is on youtube at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZMRgJ2l9Wg&t=129s

The Corvette was later acquired by Bob Sobey who continued to race and develop the Corvette.

In addition to Riverside and Firebird Raceway, the Corvette has 40 years of racing history at  Watkins Glen, Lime Rock, Willow Springs, Mosport, and more. This is not a later-built Corvette race car. It is a period race car with period history at important race tracks across the U.S. and Canada.
