Update: The Titan just finished 2nd in Historic Formula Ford at the VSCDA vintage races at Road America, September, 2020.
2-year frame-off full nuts and bolts restoration. Most every part that was replaceable was replaced, reconditioned, and/or restored. Great attention to detail went into the re-wiring, replumbing, re- engineering, and rebuilding of the car. The engine and gearbox were professionally rebuilt by well-known leaders in the Formula Ford world. No expense spared throughout this restoration.
Ivey Built Ford 1600. Dyno’d at 117 H.P. at 6,400 rpm, As of Sept. 12, only one race weekend on engine. The owner understands he will not come close to recovering his cost in the Titan. However, he just bought another historic formula car that he felt he could not pass up. He does not need two formula cars, so one has to go.
For the person who wants to win in Historic Formula Ford, this is the car. We know. We already have two. Our Titan Mk6 cars have won the Crossflow Cup Championship and set track records. This one is better than both our cars, and is offered for considerably less than what we have invested in ours. Hopefully someone far away from Northern California will buy this car so we won’t have to race against it. 🙂
