1979 Crossle 35F Formula Ford

The Crossle has known ownership history from day one. The car was initially raced in Southern California. It was then sold to its next owner in Washington state. That owner only raced the Crossle for two years, 1999-2000. Thereafter the car was stored for the next 20 years until purchased by the current owner in 2021. 

The Crossle was restored by Frank Monise & Co. in 2022. Since then the car has competed in the Crossflow Cup Formula Ford Championship as well as with VARA at Willow Springs in Southern California. The car’s most recent race was the Rolex Monterey Reunion in 2024 at Laguna Seca.

Description

The Crossle is reported in excellent condition. The second-t0-last owner had the car professionally maintained by Frank Monise Racing. The current owner has had the car has been maintained by Katusha Speed Shop at Sonoma Raceway for the past couple of years. 

The brakes, shocks, springs, belts, etc were refreshed in 2022. New Koni double adjustable aluminum shocks with Eibach springs were also installed.The fire system is dated 1/22. 

The Ivey engine has approximately 25 hours left on it before needing a refresh.  The four speed Hewland gearbox, including the ring & pinion, were refreshed in 2025 by Scott Young. The car currently runs gears for Sonoma, Laguna, and Thunderhill. 

The Crossle is equipped with Smiths gauges, a quick disconnect Momo steering wheel, and a cockpit adjustable brake bias control.

The Crossle is very accommodating and will fit tall drivers. It is currently located in Northern California. 

If you want a competitive, current, pro-maintained Club Ford for SCCA and/or historic FF racing this Crossle is a great choice.
