History
This is the ex-Bruno Giacomelli car. Giacomelli scored his best finish of the season at the U.S. Grand Prix at Las Vegas, finishing third and sharing the podium with Alan Jones (Williams), and Alain Prost (Renault). The 179/C models were also driven by Mario Andretti, who finished third at the Long Beach Grand Prix, Patrick Depailler, Vittorio Brambilla, and Andrea de Cesaris.
Description
Chassis number 006 is the last of the 179 model Alfa F1 cars, with the latest evolution engine and suspension. The chassis presently has zero hours on a full rebuild. The engine also has zero hours after a complete rebuild. Serious buyers are invited to witness the dyno run on the engine, or they can receive a print out of the results if the dyno run occurs prior to their inquiry about the car.
The Alfa includes valuable spares, including a disassembled back up engine.
The car is presently in Europe. It does, however, have pre-approved, zero duty USA re-importation paperwork, if the buyer should desire to bring the car to the U.S.
The Alfa comes with full FIA historic papers.
