1982 Lola T540/T594 2 Liter Sports Racer

3 Time SCCA National Championship Winner. SVRA Eligible!

Lola T540/T594 Sports Racer

This is the Ex-Mike Reupert, 3 time SCCA Championship winning, Lola T540/594 D Sports Racer. The car is currently fitted with a 2 liter Cosworth YB engine.

The Lola has its period modified front suspension, which was designed to maximize grip combined with the car’s fully enclosed T594 bodywork. Many spare front suspension parts are included with the sale.

The rear uprights and trailing arms are all stock Lola T540. The car comes with 4 Penske gas adjustable external reservoir shocks.

The brakes are Wilwood calipers with Hawk pads and slotted rotors.
The wheels are Kodiac 7″ and 8″. The Lola comes with a second set of mounted wheels.

The current engine is a 1992  Jennings 2L Cosworth twin cam YB series engine with 6 hours on it. It has a 200 series cast iron block, (stronger for a turbo application). The engine currently runs on twin 45 dcoe Weber carburetors. The original D Sports Racer AMW engine, and related parts needed to convert the car back to its original DSR/vintage specification, are also available.

The gearbox is a Hewland Mark 9 with 5 speed with reverse. The gearbox was completely rebuilt by Taylor Engineering. The rebuild included replacement of the front spline shaft, a Rhino case, some gears, bearing and seals, new layshaft and new ring and pinion. The gearbox also has a very expensive Torson limited slip, Tilton clutch, and new hydraulic center push throw out bearing.

Additional new parts include an MSD ignition module, distributor and wires. Also new are the Tilton starter, all the wiring, and a new kill switch. The Lola has a new fuel cell, electric fuel pump, battery, new oil lines, oil cooler, and oil tank. Additional new items include water hoses, water tank, new stainless steel headers and a new magnaflow muffler.

The Lola comes with a fire retardant bottle system, spare parts, and log books from day one, documenting the car’s 3 SCCA D Sports Racer National Championships, and 7 National Runoffs pole positions with Mike Reupert.

This is a lot of car for the money. It is SVRA eligible, and may be with other vintage racing organizations as well. It would also be an awesome, inexpensive, super quick track day car.
