1983 Ralt RT4 Formula Atlantic

Ex-Kerry Agapiou/Theodore Racing Ralt RT4.  Also ex-Sandy Dells car. Pro WCAR  racing history. SCCA National history, including the Pacific Coast Road Racing Championship. Historic racing history too.

Fresh Ivey Cosworth engine with only one shakedown test session. New MSD ignition. Hewland gearbox gone through in 2019, including new input shaft. Wide track front.

The Ralt is maintained by a pro shop, and is prepped for the 2020 season. However, the owner has been in ill health this year and has not been able to drive the car. Due to his health issues he has now decided to let the car go.

CSRG now permits Cosworth powered Ralt RT4 cars to race with the other, pre-1979, Formula Atlantic cars. These are substantial grids with great, and famous cars (ex-Keke Rosberg, Danny Sullivan, Bobby Rahal, Jacques Laffite, Didier Pironi, Gilles Villenueve, Jacques Villeneuve, and on and on). This Ralt RT4 is faster/better than all of the cars raced by those drivers, and can win at any given event. HMSA, SVRA, VARA, HSR, and others also accept the RT4’s now.

So if you want to run at the front in historic Formula Atlantic with superior grip and handling, and at less cost than any comparably prepared flat bottom Formula Atlantic, this RT4 is an excellent choice.
