2000 Plymouth Prowler – Former Show Winner

Sold

Description

Really nice condition overall. Three owners from new with the last two in the same family. Owned by an older couple for most of its life. No known accidents.

Original 3.5 liter V6 engine was replaced in 2019 with a 25,000 mile engine in excellent condition. Original engine comes with the car. Everything works, including AC. Aftermarket stereo installed with sub woofers.

This is probably one of the rare “Black Tie Edition” Prowlers. Of the less than 12,000 Prowlers that were manufactured, apparently only 163 of the Black Tie cars were built. We are not Prowler experts, so this should be confirmed with someone knowledgeable about the Black Tie cars. It certainly appears to be a Black Tie car.

The Prowler has an automatic transmission, and leather seats, which are in good condition. It has power windows and door locks. The odometer shows a bit more than 66,000 miles, but that was on the original engine. The second engine, currently in the car, has approximately 25,000 miles on it.

The front bumpers were removed and replaced with the new directional lights, which are mounted in the same location as the front bumpers. Apparently this is a common bolt-on modification used to accentuate the design of the front end without it being cluttered by the bumpers. The front bumpers are no longer with the car.

This is a very nice car, and is part of a collection of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and other historic racing machinery. It has spent most of its life garaged.
